Bar of Northern Ireland partners with Threshold for 2015
The Bar of Northern Ireland Charity Committee has announced Threshold as the first of its charity partners for 2015.
Welcoming the announcement, Sinead McKeagney BL highlighted that “unfortunately it is a sad fact that many people who appear before our courts suffer mental health issues. The Bar of Northern Ireland is delighted to
offer practical help in the provision of such important support services”
Following membership nomination, the Bar will support the work of Threshold for the incoming year through a range of fundraising activities.
For over 20 years, Threshold has existed as a key provider of specialist therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly who suffer from mental health problems. With services established across Northern Ireland, Threshold provide care and support to 250- 300 people within residential services and through our outreach. Within the Primary Care Service, the Child Psychotherapy and Counselling Services provides 12 - 15 week interventions to children and adolescents.
