Congratulations to the Bar Golf Society on Hutton Cup Win

The annual match between the Bar Golf Society and the Solicitors was held at Malone Golf Club on Friday 25th September 2015. The Bar won back the Hutton Cup after a close final score of 279 points to the Solicitors’ 269.

The best and runner up scores on the winning team were Barry Macdonald with 40 points and Michael McCartan with 39 points, and the equivalent scores on the Solicitors’ team were Gerry Daly with 37 points and Vincent Lynagh with 36 points.

The Bar Golf Society Vice-Captain, Gillen LJ, and Gordon Greenfield, the Solicitors’ Captain welcomed everyone to the event which was the first match since the summer recess. Michael McCartan made an acceptance speech on behalf of the Bar team after being presented with the Hutton Cup.

The Bar Golf Society would like to extend our gratitude to Malone Golf Club and its General Manager, Patrick Dean, for the hospitality shown to us. We would also like to congratulate the Club and its ground staff on the excellent course.

The last outing of this calendar year is the Brown Cup and Annual Dinner, which will take place at Royal Belfast Golf Club on Friday 4th December 2015. All members are warmly encouraged to attend.
