Consultation Response: Access to Justice Review Part 2

The Justice Minister David Ford MLA published the final report from the Access to Justice Review Part 2 in November 2015. Covering criminal, family and civil legal aid, the report makes over 150 recommendations with considerable implications for the Bar of Northern Ireland.

During the three month consultation period, ending in February 2016, the Bar developed a comprehensive response to the report. This incorporates the views of the membership of the Bar of Northern Ireland and a number of the specialist Bar Associations, including the Criminal Bar Association, Personal Injury Bar Association, Family Bar Association and Young Bar Association.
