Consultation Response: Statutory Registration Scheme
The Department of Justice issued a targeted consultation on a statutory registration scheme in February 2017 aimed at putting in place arrangements to ensure that those who receive public funding for the delivery of legal services provide an appropriate level and quality of service. This builds on the DOJ’s previous consultation exercise from 2014 and provides details on a Code of Practice, an audit and compliance framework and fee charging methodology.
