The Bar will hold a one day conference - Domestic Abuse and Civil Proceedings Act (Northern Ireland) 2021, One Year On - Review & Renew on Thursday 23 February.
This full day conference will be held at Spires Conference Centre, Wellington Street Belfast. It will bring together local and international partners from across the justice, voluntary and academic sectors, to:
- Revisit the prevalence, scale and impact of domestic violence and the effect it has on direct and indirect victims and survivors;
- Recap on Northern Ireland’s policy and legislative framework;
- Examine progress after the first year of implementation;
- Continue learning by exploring practice in other jurisdictions.

- Claire Edgar - Chair Belfast Area Domestic Abuse Working Group
