Fundraising Chair announces new Charity of the Year

As the incoming Chair of the Bar Charity Committee, Sinead McKeagney BL has named Autism Initiatives as the latest Charity partner for the incoming year.

Speaking of the announcement, she said “We are delighted to support Autism Initiatives in their work to provide support for people with autism and their families. Our members have experienced first-hand the excellent services provided and more importantly, benefited from an improved quality of life with their assistance”.

Autism Initiatives provides a range of person centred services throughout the UK. The charity provides services to children and adults, and encompasses education, residential houses, supported living and outreach services. Founded in the early 1970s in the Merseyside region, Autism Initiatives remains a parent-led charity and is a founder member of the Autism Alliance and connected with regional and national autism networks and strategy groups across the UK and in Ireland.

Members of the Bar of Northern Ireland will be fundraising through a range of fundraising events throughout the year including the Bar Charity Ball.
