Roseanne McCormick QC appointed County County Judge
The Bar Council would like to congratulate Roseanne McCormick QC, who has been appointed as a County Court Judge in Northern Ireland by Her Majesty the Queen.
The Judge was sworn into office before Sir Declan Morgan, the Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland on the morning of Wednesday 5th September 2018.
Mrs McCormick QC was called to The Bar of Northern Ireland in September 1989 and subsequently as appointed Queen’s Counsel in December 2014. Since her call to the Senior Bar she has been instructed by the Public Prosecution Service to assist in a variety of roles arising from a wide variety of circumstances including, fraud, fatal road traffic accidents, attempted murder, violent and sexual offending.
Mrs McCormick QC has been instructed in cases in the High Court Family Division and has furnished the Professional Conduct Committee of the Bar of Northern Ireland with written advices and holds the following professional qualifications: Bachelor of Law, Queen’s University of Belfast (July 1988) and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies, The Institute of Professional Legal Studies (June 1989).
